Prof. Łukasz Rauch
Divides his scientific interests between computer science and its applications in modelling and design of industrial processes. Author of more than 200 scientific papers published in journals and presented at conferences. He participates in many scientific and R&D projects carried out in cooperation with both large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises. She values this work the most, as the scientific solutions find practical application in industry. From 2016 to 2020, he was Head of the Department of Applied Computer Science and Modelling and is currently Associate Dean for Science and Collaboration at the Faculty of Metal Engineering and Industrial Computer Science.
His interests outside of his professional work are mainly focused on active sports, of which sailing, alpine trekking and skiing have been his most popular choices recently. His small sporting achievements include completing mountain half marathons, an Olympic-distance triathlon and winning the Polish marathon crown. Privately: married, father of two fantastic twins Julian and Dominik, with whom he shares all his challenges and passions.
