Employed at the Gdansk University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding. He has been conducting research on car tyres since 1982. Initially concerned with tyre noise and now with tyre rolling resistance. He manages research projects commissioned by NCBR, PolNor, DOT (USA), Michelin, Continental, Tesla, VTI (Sweden), OAT (Germany), VINCI (France). He is also involved in weapons and ballistics issues. He is an active long-range shooter and author of manuals for snipers.
