Małgorzata Franus, Ph.D.
Małgorzata Franus Ph.D., Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Lublin University of Technology. Her scientific and research activities include the synthesis, modification and characterisation of sorbents used to remove pollutants from water and wastewater, preparation of catalytic media for air purification, waste utilisation for the production of sintered lightweight aggregates and concretes.
She is the author of 43 scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database, 3 original monographs and the creator of 5 inventions, which were granted patent protection by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. She participated in the implementation of 17 research projects (NCN and NCBiR), in five of which she acted as a manager. As part of her cooperation with the socio-economic environment, she has produced more than several dozen expert opinions, innovation opinions and R&D reports.
In 2022, she was awarded the Intelligent Development Forum prize in the category Scientist of the Future. In the same year, she received a gold medal at the INNO WINGS International Exhibition of Inventions and Technologies for her invention 'Device for foaming asphalt binder'.
