Dr. Slawomir Gryś, Prof. of MSc
Graduate of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Częstochowa University of Technology. He defended his doctorate with distinction in 2003 and obtained his habilitation degree in 2013. He gained academic experience at the Częstochowa University of Technology (currently working), the Higher School of Commerce in Radom and the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. He has taught at universities in Germany, Romania, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Promoter of more than 70 engineering and master's theses and 1 defended and 1 in progress doctoral thesis. Research interests include defectoscopy, thermography, metrology, electronics, image processing and recognition. Member of the Metrology Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences Katowice Branch, POLSPAR and PTETIS. Section editor of the PAS Int. quarterly Journal of Electronics & Telecommunications. Author of 2 academic textbooks, co-author of a scientific monograph and author of 5 chapters in monographs, author or co-author of over 60 scientific publications in national and foreign journals. He has completed internships at foreign universities in the Czech Republic and Germany, author of a patent and an EU utility model. He has carried out work for industry in the field of thermal imaging diagnostics in electrical power engineering and diagnostics of electronic systems in the textile industry. He is currently the manager of a grant within the Polish Metrology II competition.
