Dr. Jacek Kołacz

Jacek Kołacz graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków (1989) and in 1995 completed doctoral studies at NTNU University in Norway. Since 1990, he has been involved in materials technology and automation of production processes as a senior researcher at the SINTEF research institute in Norway. In 2003, he founded Comex AS in Norway as a start-up, allowing commercialisation of new patented equipment and technological solutions. In 2007, Comex Polska Sp. z o.o. was established in Kraków to continue R&D work and further commercialise new technological solutions, which are now used on almost all continents of the world. Jacek Kołacz is currently the author of more than 150 publications, many international patents and several hundred scientific reports in the field of production of microparticles of minerals and materials, electronic sorting of materials, and automation of production processes. He is currently working as president of the Comex Group.
