Dr Barbara Jasiulis-Gołdyn

Assistant Professor at the Institute of Mathematics, University of Wrocław - modelling of extreme events

Assistant Professor at the University of Wrocław. She specialises in applications of probability theory and statistics, extreme event analysis, actuarial and environmental risk management, modelling of air pollution indicators, medical data analysis, valuation and analysis of financial instruments under variable interest rate conditions, and statistical methods in astronomy. Her academic work focuses on interdisciplinary research and sustainability through collaboration with the socio-economic environment. In 2016, she received a Master of Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. From 2016 to 2019, she is a project manager in the RETURNS programme of the Foundation for Polish Science. In 2023, Visiting Scientist at the International Research Agenda AstroCeNT: Science and Technology Centre for Particle Astrophysics. In 2023, she held an internship at the University of Liverpool. In 2019, she received the Polish Intelligent Development Award in the category Scientist of the Future.
